Camp Discovery – Don Harrington Discovery Center
As a yearly staple for summers in Amarillo, many citizens are already fully aware of the week-long summer camps that are offered by the Discovery Center. Each week is packed full of a variety of activities that are fun and educational! Themes vary each week, offering different interests for kids entering 1st through 5th grade. Kids College – Amarillo College
Another beloved institution is Kids College hosted and operated by Amarillo College. Kids College offers numerous classes that target more specific interests for kids of all ages. From Camp Triple Threat, offered by the Amarillo College Conservatory Theatre, to Cupcake Wars and Top Model classes, Kids College is a haven for kids who love variety. Camp Tatanka – West Texas A&M University
Located just 15 minutes south of Amarillo is WTAMU in Canyon, Texas. For years, WTAMU has offered an incredible summer day camp for kids aged 7 to 12 years old. Spanning from 8AM to 4PM, campers are invited to participate in activities such as rock climbing, swimming, crafts, bowling, and weekly museum and library visits. Thanks to the Caf, lunches are provided on campus and are included in the registration fees! Hidden Falls Ranch – Wayside, TX
Located about 30 minutes south of Amarillo near Wayside, TX. Since 1965, Hidden Falls Ranch has been offering life-changing summer camp experiences for thousands of children. Founded on the principles of God and His Holy Word, Hidden Falls Ranch exists to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with youth and families. Zoo Camp – Amarillo Zoo
Located about 30 minutes south of Amarillo near Wayside, TX. Wild Texas | June 5th – June 9th – Campers will learn safety procedures when coming across Texas native wildlife and why these animals call Texas home. Once Upon a Time | June 19th – June 23rd- Join the zoo as we go back to our roots and introduce fairy and folk tales to our animal ambassadors. Feasts for Beasts | June 26th – June 30th – Learn the adaptations of predators and prey in Feasts for Beasts summer camp. Campers will start a master chef journey and create their own animal themed snacks each day! Around the World | July 10th – July 14th- Campers will explore each continent on Earth and learn the cultures and animals that live in each region. League of Their Own | July 31st – August 4th – Join us for our League of Their Own summer camp that connects superheroes and supervillains to their animal counter parts.
