August was an interesting month and we’re excited to share with you some information about the real estate market in the Amarillo and Canyon area.
Last month, there were 458 houses sold which was down 11% from July. Also, the average sales price was down about 4% which comes out to around $252,084 for the area. Days on market stayed the same averaging around 68 days! Inventory has increased by about 1% and there were 505 houses on the market at the end of July. With increased inventory, it’s possible we will see a more stable market over the next few weeks.
