April was as busy as ever and we’re excited to share with you about the real estate market for Amarillo and Canyon. Last month, there were 341 houses sold which was slightly down from March. The average sales price was only down 2% to $242,733 for the area. Days on market was also down and averaged at 91 days, which includes days the house was under contract. Inventory is down for Canyon and Bushland, but remains relatively steady for the area and there are currently 431 houses listed at the end of April. Based on last month and most recent activity, the forecast for May is looking to be very strong as well and we are excited to see what the summer brings!
